Easter Sunday, April 20 // 9+11 a.m.

The resurrection of Jesus wasn’t just an event in history—it changed everything. After rising from the dead, Jesus appeared to more than five hundred people, proving that he was alive (1 Corinthians 15:6). Those who saw him became witnesses, not just because they had seen something extraordinary, but because their lives were transformed by it.

This Easter, we’ll explore what it truly means to be a witness for Jesus. A witness doesn’t just recount a story—they embody the change that Christ brings. The resurrection isn’t just something we celebrate; it’s something we become.

Join us as we proclaim the good news: Jesus is alive, and because of him, we witness new life. We look forward to worshipping the risen Jesus with you on Sun., April 20 at 9 or 11 a.m. We encourage you to invite your friends and family with the image below.

Lenten Sermon Series

In the book of Matthew, Jesus announces the beginning of his ministry by exclaiming, “Repent! Turn around! The Kingdom of heaven has come near!” Shortly thereafter, Matthew records for us Jesus’ famous Sermon on the Mount, recorded in Matthew chapters 5 through 7, where Jesus explains what will need to change in our hearts and in our behavior in order for the Kingdom to show up with the nearness Jesus announced.

When we listen closely to all three chapters of Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount in Matthew, we begin to hear a theme develop: for us to truly live as if the Kingdom of heaven is near, our emotional life is one of the places where Jesus calls us to “repent” or “turn around.” In this sermon series, we’ll listen for the ways Jesus invites us to mold and shape our emotional lives as Kingdom people while acknowledging what it is about being human that makes that molding and shaping difficult.

What to Expect Sunday Morning

Worship

As a worship community we strive to create a space where, regardless of your worship style, musical preference or religious background, you can be comfortable to express yourself as the Holy Spirit leads. As a racially diverse church, we are intentional about our worship: infusion Gospel, modernized hymns and contemplative moments.

Families

Child care is provided for children nursery through 5th grade. We do have a cap for each classroom; first-come, first-served.

Dress

It’s Easter, so we’re sure to see lots of folks in their Sunday best, bright colors and more. However, at Sanctuary, we encourage you to come as you are – no pressure to dress up.. We welcome you whether you’re in sweats or a suit.

Order Your Easter Lilies

As we are preparing our hearts for Easter coming up in a few weeks, we have a tradition to decorate our church with lilies on Easter Sunday!

These flowers are a reminder of our new life because of Jesus' resurrection and exemplify beauty of salvation.

Place an order for Easter lilies in honor or in memory of a loved one. The cost is $15 per lily.

Easter Photos
