The people who followed Jesus in the first century had to determine a new way of living with one another as a new community. This new way of leaning on each other was countercultural to the norm of society. When questioned about his family, Jesus said that the ones who do the will of his father are his brothers and sisters.(Matthew 15:20) This series goes beyond family ties and family traditions. We’re forming a new community with a new traditions based on ancient texts. I’m really excited to go through several one another passages in the New Testament and I hope you’ll join us each week at Sanctuary Columbus.
