New to Sanctuary
We are SO GLAD you are here. Perhaps you are thinking about checking out Sanctuary Columbus for our next worship celebration, or maybe you don’t even know where we are located, but something or someone brought you to our website. Either way, we are very excited to have you, and like any good host, we want you to feel welcome and at home.
So the first thing I’d like you to know is that we’re open to any of your questions. You can really ask anything and we’ll do our best to answer your question completely. Give us a call at 614-594-0333 or email email@example.com and let’s talk.
If you aren’t ready for a personal conversation and have some basic questions about what to expect in a worship celebration, then read below on some commonly asked questions about Sanctuary Columbus. Thanks for visiting.
How do I get there?
Sanctuary Columbus meets at 2626 Cleveland Ave, Columbus, OH 43213. Click here for Google directions.
What should I wear?
We’re more concerned with meeting your real life needs than with what you wear. Just wear some clothes, make sure you feel comfortable and you’ll fit right in. Although Pastor Rich doesn’t like to admit it, he’s pretty stylish. One week he may wear jeans and another week he’ll be in slacks. Shirt tucked in or out…it doesn’t really matter to him. Everything we do at Sanctuary, even down to what Pastor Rich wears, is an effort to communicate our diversity. One size does not fit all here.
Where do I park?
Sanctuary Columbus Church has a great parking team that will guide you the moment you turn in. We want to ensure that you easily find a spot to park each week.
Is there something for kids?
We have an excellent kid’s program that your children will love. There is something for your children: toddler (age 1) – 5th grade. We call this experience Royal City Kids.
Kids ages 4-sixth grade worship with adults at the start of service. We want kids to have a meaningful worship experience that will transfer into a future walk with Jesus. Kids will be dismissed and escorted to Royal City after the welcome to Sanctuary, approximately 15 min into service.
Students in grades 6-12 attend regular worship services or volunteer as student helpers in Royal City.
What’s with the name tags?
We honestly still debate this one. And every time we come back to our value of creating a place where people know who you are. Name tags help the process of being known, recognized and belonging. You don’t have to wear a name tag if you don’t want to. But if you do, then pick up one of those sticky things and write your first name. Then head on over to the hot beverage table to grab a drink before worship begins.
Do you handle snakes?
We love this question! The short answer is…no. The long answer is…well…no again. We know what you’re asking though, “What can I expect at Sanctuary?”
You will be greeted by a person who will help you find a seat and hand you a Program. The Program will tell you more about Sanctuary Columbus and our community news and activities. You’ll find a Connection Card insert with the Program. Please fill out the Connection Card at any point during the service.
You will soon discover that our main desire is for you to experience the life-changing presence of Jesus Christ in a creative atmosphere with people on a journey just like you. You’ll enjoy upbeat, jazz and folk influenced music led by our band. Pastor Rich will lead you through practical, timeless truths with humor and sincerity.
